Am I Using the Right Cable?

Where does IT go?

VGA/RGB Cable - Display cable typically used to connect monitors and projectors to computers.  Display only.  No Audio.

DVI Cable - Display cable used to connect monitors and projectors to computers.  Display only.  No Audio

Ethernet / Network Cable - Provides internet connectivity for your computer

HDMI Cable - Cable used for Display and Audio.  Used for HDMI Projectors, Monitors, and TVs.  

Audio Cable - provides audio connectivity between computers and speakers/projectors

Microphone Plug - allows audio input from microphones, webcams, etc...

USB - C - Used to charge devices such as Chromebooks.  If a Chromebook has multiple USB Ports, make sure to charge using the port on the left side of the device.

USB Cable - Used to connect and provide communication to peripheral devices connected to computers.  Also may provide power to devices.  Ex:  Mouse, Keyboard, Interactive Whiteboard, etc....
